Jayce Prater

My name is Jayce Prater. For the past several years I have been working in the storage industry as a lead manager assisting with the opening and acquisitions of new facilities throughout the Midwest region of the United States. A huge part of my job is to help train and develop new and current staff members to manage their properties and grow their sales effortlessly and independently. I am based out of the Greater Indianapolis area where I was born and raised. Currently, I'm interested in taking the skills and knowledge I've gained and pairing it with a new career to continue growing and working on my self-development. I enjoy hybrid and remote positions where I'm not confined to an office setting all day, and love working in the field and travelling. 

I began my career in management at Marsh Supermarkets as an assistant office manager. Several years later I began working as a manager at a local restaurant in Downtown Indianapolis called Acapulco Joe's. It was actually opened in the 1960's as the very first Mexican restaurant in Indianapolis. I am now 31 years old and for the past several years I have been working in the rapidly growing Indoor Climate Controlled Storage Facility industry. Not only do we lease storage space, but in the background work to grow software that allows guests to conveniently lease their space virtually or at newly designed kiosks on-site. It's almost as if Storage is now a Tech business disguised as a Real Estate business.

I took some classes last year at Post University online to further my education and knowledge in business. I am planning to return withing the next few months to pursue my BS in Business Administration with a focus on Project Management and Entrepreneurship.
