Jason Eggert

I am a motivated Mechanical Engineering student looking for an exciting internship that will allow me to develop my skills and gain experience in the engineering field. I have already successfully completed many engineering courses and I am also actively involved in campus life having participated in a Sailing Trip and involved in UNH’s PROVES program designed to foster community service. I have experience in robotics at FRC as the Drive Team Leader and a Mechanical Team member. I was nominated by my team for the Dean’s List Nominee. During Covid my family and I worked with Mass General Hospital to 3D print, laser cut plastic and assemble Covid shields that we then donated.

Community Service COVID-19 Face Shield Manufacturing and Donation                    March 2020-Aug 2020 • Designed, manufactured, and assembled over 1000 face shields during Covid • Operated a CO2 laser to cut clear plastic rolls into shields • Utilized 3D printers to print the shield frames • Designed in SolidWorks and 3D printed custom tool used to bisect plastic strap • Assembled and delivered the finished products to police, fire, first responders and medical facilities 

FIRST Robotics – StormGears 5422 Driver Team Lead                                                         Sept 2015-May 2019 • Elected to be the team's robot driver and oversee collaboration between electrical, mechanical and software sub teams • Utilized SolidWorks CAD design while a member of the mechanical and electrical sub-teams • Competed at the District Competition level & team awarded Engineering Inspiration & Chairman’s Award • Nominated by mentors and teammates for FIRST Dean’s List Award recognizing leadership on team– was a Semi-finalist 

Currently in Sophomore year at University of New Hampshire in the mechanical engineering program
