Executive Summary
In simple terms... “I love to make things better!”
I am an accomplished quality leader, architect, director, and manager with over 20 years of broad industry experience. With a successful track record leading teams, managing budgets, and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, resulting in improved quality and efficiency. Skilled in mentoring and providing technical guidance to ensure team success. I have successfully developed and implemented comprehensive quality strategies across a variety of domains. Including, original online bill pay technology, original education portals, the first automated generation of Fidelity's Net Asset Value (NAV) daily mutual fund calculations and the first open-source online human pedigree. As well as innovations across multiple industries such as, financial, investment, banking, big data, transportation and ultra-secure cloud deployments at leading global banks, and customers such as the US Department of Defense (DoD) self-optimizing cloud management. This is with a proven track record of improving quality through leadership, technical expertise, automation, wisdom & creative ideas. I have become a reliable asset to the organizations I have worked with and contributed to improving our world through technology and quality.
Throughout my career, I have played a key role in successful launches of numerous software projects. Including being a member of the founding team for FamilySearch.org (creating the human pedigree, from the beginning through eternity), initial online bill pay technology and the beginnings of education portal technology. Worked on software used at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) human genome project and High Performance Computing (HPC) at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) and under the hood Google maps processing. Additionally, I had the unique opportunity to test drive the prototype Fiat 500 automobile, giving me valuable insight and influence into the intersection of software, hardware and humans. This experience is where I discovered my passion for quality.
My technical expertise includes designing and implementing complex automated testing frameworks, collaborating with stakeholders and development teams to resolve defects and to create, direct and manage testing efforts. Thus, accomplishing company and project timelines and deliverables as a team. I am also well-versed and up-to-date in industry trends and technologies, constantly learning and adapting to continuously improve QA leadership, processes, practices, and tools.
As a member of the founding team of several successful projects in a variety of industries, I have demonstrated my ability to collaborate and provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to achieve company and team goals. If your organization wants to create the next Fiat 500, FamilySearch, human genome, or online bill pay software type of innovation, you'll want me leading quality. I am excited to bring my experience and expertise to new challenges and continue making a significant impact on the quality of our world.
