I provide leadership and coordination in the development and administration of statewide Special Education Programs and Mandates in Georgia; by monitoring policies, procedures, and practices as they relate to Students with Disabilities.

- Led and supervised Special Education Programs in three Georgia school districts
- Work with students with all state recognized disabilities to ensure their IEPs are individualized to meet their specific needs.
- Ensure compliance and implementation of SWD IEPs meet district and state standards.
- Collaborate with administrators to observe instructional practices to ensure they are in accordance with Georgia Standards of Excellence.
- Conduct staff walk through evaluations using the Teacher Key Effectiveness System.
- Ensure schedules and progress monitoring for SWD align with IEPs
- Coordinate full time equivalent (FTE) processes at local site to ensure Special Education program services are captured to maximize the budget for SWD
- Administer triennial achievement tests to review eligibility for SWD
- Collaborate with School Psychologists, Speech Therapist and other itinerant staff to conduct eligibility meetings
- Plan, create, and present professional development for new hire teachers, substitutes, and existing teachers.
- Collaborate with staff to develop resilient partnerships to ensure family engagement.
- Collaborate with school principals in staffing schools with highly qualified, effective personnel.
- Prior member of Career, Technology, and Agricultural Education and Skills USA; which fostered instruction and training to students in vocational programs resulting in Regional and State, competitive wins.
