About James Given:

I have worked in the addictions field since 2001 and retired from the Canadian Military in 2010.   I have provided substance use services to a wide variety of clients, including military members, persons with serious mental illness, homeless persons, and those with various cultural backgrounds.  I have also taught prospective counselors at the Community College level.  I am passionate about helping others.  I have excellent written and verbal communications skills and am an excellent public speaker.
