Jack Doherty

An independent musician with a growing social media presence who has experience in producing,
editing, and publishing digital media content; compatible across all digital media formats and a
varying array of brand types e.g. creative, consumer, and social. Passionate about creating
thought-provoking content to establish a genuine connection between the brand and the user.

During my time working as the Social Media Manager for the Delta Chi fraternity at UMass Amherst I served to facilitate the recruitment and retention of potential new members. Additionally, I expended efforts to promote and publicize the community service and philanthropic events that spread values the Delta Chi organization holds dear.

Throughout working as a Social Media intern for Verto Inc. under the Spark project, a startup app that connects musicians to their fans via a monthly subscription, I created digital media strategies and content to increase brand awareness and user acquisition. Notable campaigns I co-created include the “Music Artist of the Week” campaign to increase brand awareness and the “Get to Know Spark” campaign to increase engagement. Furthermore, I spent time as the head of content creator onboarding which served to build relationships with social media influencers as well as up-and-coming musicians via email outreach and direct messages on social media platforms. Lastly, I managed a team of two interns in the areas of content creation and outreach to social media influencers as a way to increase Spark's brand awareness and user acquisition. 

Having experience on both the creative and analytical sides of digital marketing I have been able to identify key traits seen in digital content that will garner a though-provoking connection between the brand and the audience. This knowledge serves to strengthen my skill set as a digital content creator and producer.
