Hello, my name is Irene! I am a compassionate nursing student at West Coast University pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, with a passion for pediatric and obstetric care. Alongside my clinical experience in hospital and community health settings, I have cared for the same toddler for a couple of years as a childcare provider, fostering growth, consistency, and trust. I am skilled in patient assessment, performing wound care, intravenous catheter insertions, medication administration, infection control, and therapeutic communication, with the ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure. I also have strong knowledge of technology and digital resources, which enhances my organization, documentation, and patient education abilities.

My professional background combines clinical, administrative, and caregiving experience that has strengthened my ability to provide safe, compassionate, and organized care. As a dedicated childcare provider, I have cared for the same toddler for several years, fostering developmental growth, supporting daily routines, and maintaining a nurturing environment built on trust and consistency. Previously, I worked in medical intake coordination for almost two years at Advanced Home Medical Inc., where I helped patients understand their durable medical equipment benefits, verified insurance coverage, and managed accurate records to ensure continuity of care. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at West Coast University in Ontario, California, with an expected graduation date of March 2026. Alongside over 600 hours of clinical rotations, I have gained extensive experience in high-fidelity simulation labs that replicate real-world patient scenarios, enhancing my clinical judgment, teamwork, and emergency response skills.
