Hi. My name is Cici and I am a UX/UI Designer.
With over a decade of experience in the entertainment industry, I decided to pursue another passion: solving problems through Design. 
As an Actress, I've learned how to listen to directors and build connections with the characters. An actor's job is to understand, empathize, and communicate the message from the script/play to the audience. Very similar to the Designing thinking Process, as we listen to the client's requests and the user's needs/frustrations to be able to Design the best solution.
My background has given me a foundation in human research and empathy. Springboard’s UX/UI design course has given me the tools and methods to develop interactions that are beautiful, thoughtful, and humane. 
My specialties include User Research & Interviewing, Product/Feature Validation, Wireframing &Prototyping, Design Strategy, and User Interface.

My name is Iraci Santos, I go to Cici, I am from Brazil, and I am a NY city-based UX/UI Designer. I spent the first 10 years of my career in the entertainment industry.  I always liked Art, and since I did my first theater play at school in the 6th grade I knew that I wanted to work with Art and so I pursued a BFA in Theatre and Art Education. 

About 2 years ago, as I was thinking of my next steps in life, I decided to change my career to a UX/UI Design role. Looking back, it made a lot of sense that I did that because the Design thinking process is very similar to an Actor's creative process. The Actor’s job is to understand the script and for that, you need to research, then Empathize to understand the Pain points and reasons behind the character, then deliver a creative solution which is your vision of the character, and most important: to communicate the message from the script to the audience. 

As a UX/UI Designer I use all my experience to create interactions that are beautiful, thoughtful, and humane. I am very proud of my journey so far and particularly about my “Let’s go!” project, which was an app that I designed to help people to find cultural activities nearby. I am now working on my internship at Springboard where I am redesigning the user experience and the User interface of their e-commerce website.
