I am a literacy and remediation specialist who has taught for almost 20 years. I have a Masters degree and have extensive experience supporting students where they are and aligning my teaching to the state’s proficiency standards to help them become resilient, sustainable and metacognitive learners who acknowledge their strengths and utilize strategies that help them achieve confidence and success in and outside of the classroom.

I was a writer for The NY Times and ELA Special Educator for 20 plus years. I am a literacy specialist who helps students become confident, resilient, sustainable learners. My strength is individualized instruction aligned with the cognitive levels of each student.
