Experience
Dual language Teacher – Ellis Middle School (Elgin, Illinois)
- The District U-46 Dual Language Teacher is responsible for planning and structuring the entire teaching and learning process for the Latin community in suburban Elgin.
- The teacher develops and maintains a direct relationship with the community. The teacher is also responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the entire student learning process and keeping an active record of it.
- The teacher develops two annual assessments titled Student Learning Outcomes (SLO).
- In this, the teacher acts as an active researcher and develops a small investigation to determine if the students are advancing in their learning process in a certain unit.
Principal
- The Adult Alternative Program of the Department of Education of Puerto Rico provides alternative education services to a diversity of students. It is commonly known as the adult program, but essentially given the sociodemographic diversity of our Puerto Rican culture, young people with diverse situations prefer it as an alternative to regular education.
- As School Director, I had the responsibility of developing plans aimed at student success, creating an accountability system, and monitoring student success. In the same way, activities aimed at fulfilling the vision and mission of the school were developed.
- The adult education program is a program whose funds come from the Federal government of the United States of North America. This implies that we regularly had to monitor data, and lines, as well as prepare compliance reports and always be ready for any federal audit of files or use of physical, fiscal, and human resources.
