Dog’s Downtown is a daycare, boarding, and training facility. They breed German shepherds, standard poodles, English Labrador retrievers, and doodles for service work or as pets. Some of which live within the facility. Started as a boarding dog walker. Transferred to walking in-facility living dogs. Learned training techniques over time, including the Humane Hierarchy methods, and eventually was promoted to training full time. Oversaw playtime, walking, feeding, cleaning of crates/rooms, bathing dogs of varying coat types, nail care, and providing medications. Train both in-facility living dogs and boarding/daycare clients. Focus on general obedience training, outside socialization with new environments/people, car exposure, public access field trips for service dogs, and provided tools to help dogs learn to manage their anxieties/energy. Babysat many facility dogs to help acclimate them to house living/potty training. Gained an array of experience with different dog breeds and varying temperaments. Excellent with dog photography, highlighting their personalities and best features. Had my personal dog pass his CGC (Canine Good Citizen) here.
