GuruBandaa Khalsa

My education, research, and work experience have given me a comprehensive understanding of ecological research, conservation-focused land management, and agricultural policy and grant management. I have learned the importance of intentional research to ensure accessibility and community safety. Both are vital for understanding the needs of ecosystems and the people who live in them. I have experience creating and implementing studies as well as providing regulatory and technical support to both scientific and lay audiences. My most recent work is in agriculture policy and program management, but I am open to learning new ways to apply my knowledge and skills.

I have worked in the environmental field throughout my bachelors and masters degrees in a multitude of field and lab-based settings. I then worked as a land management technician with the North Carolina Department of Agriculture. Most recently, I worked as a Soil Conservationist in the Office of the Chief at the Natural Resources Conservation Service with the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
