About Gerianee Ward:
I’m a Charleston, SC native with a deep commitment to patient-centered care and equity in healthcare access. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Biology from Edward Waters University, where I developed a strong foundation in the health sciences and a passion for community-focused service. I continued my training at Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC, completing my Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies and gaining hands-on experience across diverse clinical settings. I am motivated by improving health outcomes and serving underserved communities, and I strive to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that empowers every patient I encounter
Experience
I have a diverse background in patient care, community health, and clinical support roles that have strengthened my ability to serve patients with compassion, precision, and cultural competence. My clinical experience includes roles such as Pharmacy Technician at CVS Pharmacy, where I dispensed medications accurately and collaborated with healthcare providers. I served as a Community Health Worker with UF Health Jacksonville, conducting home visits, providing patient education, and completing community needs assessments to support chronically ill and high-risk individuals. At Pareto Population Health Clinic, I supported clinicians in caring for patients with chronic conditions, coordinated outreach and scheduling, and analyzed quality metrics to improve health outcomes. Additional experience includes public health outreach as a FEMA COVID-19 Community Canvasser and two health research internships with the University of Florida, where I conducted bioinformatic and outcomes-based research and earned first place in a research showcase. Across all roles, I have demonstrated strong communication, patient advocacy, and a commitment to serving underserved populations.
Education
I completed my Master of Health Sciences and Physician Assistant Studies training at the Presbyterian College Physician Assistant Program, where I gained rigorous academic preparation and hands-on experience across multiple specialties. My clinical rotations included Internal Medicine, Primary Care, General Surgery, Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Behavioral Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, providing me with comprehensive, well-rounded clinical exposure.
