About Georgia Schnepf:
Before attending college, I worked as a barista and a babysitter throughout high school. I knew I wanted to pursue an education that would benefit myself and others, so I attended Iowa State to pursue a degree in psychology. While at Iowa State I was also able to take classes towards minors in women and gender studies and human development and family studies.
I finished my final year of college remotely after moving to the Big Island. During my last semester of school I worked as an Registered Behavioral Technician and continued to do so after graduating in December. As an RBT, I was able to learn more about what it means to offer care to neurodivergent children. I think one of the most impactful takeaways from this experience was learning how to not only be more patient with children, but also being able to apply that same patience to myself.
Apart from work and school, I've always enjoyed art and painting and being outdoors.
