———————— TG WARNE TIRE GUAT EST oI developed a new curriculum based on a yeast identification platform developed by my PI, which is used in his research lab. The purpose is to engage the students in scientific methods using a hands-on approach which develops their laboratory skills and increases student perceived learning and gains. Students’ projects include isolating a novel yeast using classical yeast identification methods and modern molecular biology methods (polymerase chain reaction and bioinformatics). | wrote lab handouts, assignments, exams/quizzes, pre-lab lectures, and rubrics. Students demonstrated their project at the end of the semester in a symposium style and were graded by other faculty in the biology department and me. Currently, we have a manuscript under review concerning the course and student perceived learning and learning/skill gains at the Journal of Microbiology & Biology Education. Anatomy and Physiology Lab — Lead Instructor (University of the Sciences, 2016 -present) * Itaught both the first and second semesters of the anatomy and physiology lab. The first semester focused on classifying tissue, bones, muscles, nerves, and special senses. The second semester focused on the various body systems and included heart, kidney, and cat dissection. | designed the PowerPoints for both labs, which are not utilized throughout all the A&P lab course sections. Introduction to Biology Lab ~ Lead Instructor (University of the Sciences, Fall 2017) * lwas the lab instructor to first-year college students. | taught basic biology lab concepts such as DNA replication, diffusion, and osmosis, and skills such as gel electrophoresis and &. coli transformation General Biology Lab - Graduate Student Instructor (University of the Sciences, Fall 2021) e Assisted in preparation of lab material for the day of class and helped students with their experiment of the day o Inclass assistant and lab prep for a post-graduate laboratory course in the USciences Brewing Certificate Program Quality Control Lab - Graduate Student Instructor (University of the Sciences, Spring 2018-present) o Inclass assistant and lab prep for a post-graduate laboratory course in the USciences Brewing Certificate Program Genetics Lab- Graduate Student Instructor (University of the Sciences, Spring 2017) o Inclass assistant and lab prep who helped students with genetics expenments such as fruit fly genetics, population genetics, plant genetics, and sequencing Introduction to Biology Lab | and Il - Graduate Student Instructor (West Chester University 2013-2015)
