About Gabriele Knierim:

I am an MD with focus on adult medicine although I am board-certified in Family Medicine. I have been a rural physician for my career with my home-base having been in Wyoming. My life is the outdoors when not working. 

Experience

My professional experience has been broad as a rural physician with my home-base in WY. As a rural physician I practiced in the clinic, covered the emergency room with 24+ hour calls including traumas, inpatient medicine including ICU care and to a lesser extent nursing home care. Each of these areas covered a very large array of problems from minor such as hypothyroidism and respiratory infection management to major such as the care of a newborn with an open PDA until life-flight arrived 5 hours later and significant traumas. Most importantly has been my experience in understanding patients and their needs. That has always been my pleasure.

Education

My most relevant education comes from the online longitudinal assessment questions for my board exam.
