Fiona Flynn

Hello! My name is Fiona, and I'm a Public Relations major with a passion for storytelling. Throughout my time in college so far, I've been lucky enough to explore various interests and get involved in a number of clubs and organizations. Whether it is organizing events, managing social media accounts, or writing press releases, I love getting hands-on experience and developing my skills.

Looking ahead, I'm excited to continue learning and growing in my field. I'm particularly interested in the intersection of public relations and the technology industry, as well as public relations in the entertainment world. I hope to use my skills to promote causes and issues that I'm passionate about. I'm also eager to make connections with professionals in the industry and build a network that will help me achieve my goals.

I'm excited to see where my PR journey takes me and am grateful for all the experiences and opportunities I've had so far.

Since the first semester of my first year at the Newhouse School of Public Communications, I have had opportunities to work with a wide variety of clients on various different teams. 

Real Chemistry is the client I am currently working with. As an account associate, my team has helped put together a research project for Real Chemistry and is now putting together the findings. We will present the information found to Real Chemistry at the conclusion of the semester.

I worked with Newhouse Public Relations first semester of my first year. I helped put together social media content and increase engagement across various platforms to help showcase Newhouse's Public Relations major. 

Another one of my current clients, The McCarthy Mercantile, is a small, independently run marketplace based in Syracuse. I am working on the Internal Communications team, helping the marketplace brand and thinking of events to help boost the knowledge and attendance of the business.
