Farzaneh Shahini

Ph.D. candidate in Human Factors and Ergonomics with a minor in applied statistics, skilled in performing statistical and  machine learning techniques to analyze human behavior and decision. Extensive experience with human-centered research including subjective responses (think-aloud, interview, survey, focus group meeting), performance/behavioral measurements (performance, utilization, observation, body tracking, eye tracking), and user experience analysis (design of experiment, data collection, data analysis and visualization). Interested in a job working on human factors, mixed-methods UX, or ergonomics design issues in technology.

Responsibilities:
-Leading graduate student team at A&M branch as part of NC OSHERC Grant, NSF Secure America Grant, and SAFE-D Grant
-Designing and simulating human-subjects driving simulator experiments to measure driver performance
-Conducting research on driver workload through pupil-core eye-tracking glasses
-Analyzing and interpreting performance and workload data
-Designing specific navigation app interface for people with disabilities using Adobe-XD
-Conducting user testing sessions and focus group meetings with usability experts and disabled users to improve the app interface
-Conducting an online survey with 73 police officers to evaluate their opinions on ADAS features
-Designing a driving simulator experiment to evaluate officers’ performance with different types of ADAS
-Conducting focus group meeting with 16 police officers to understand their opinions towards mobile computer terminal apps
