About Faith Osterritter:
I’m a recent Environmental Geography (Pre-Law) graduate with a Political Science minor, and I’m planning to pursue a paralegal certificate this year. I’m working toward a career in legal support, with a strong interest in environmental and community-focused work.
My background is a mix of research, writing, and detail-heavy project work—breaking down complex information, documenting accurately, staying on top of timelines, and communicating clearly with different stakeholders. I’m especially drawn to issues where law and policy shape real outcomes, like environmental regulation, land use and planning, housing/public space governance, and community development.
I’d love to connect with teams working in environmental law, local government, planning, or mission-driven organizations.
Experience
I’ve worked in fast-paced service roles where I had to stay organized, communicate clearly, and keep things moving without dropping details. At Bendi Wok N’ Bar, I handled 10–15 tables per shift in a high-volume environment and built strong customer service and communication habits, including learning a large menu and supporting seasonal drink development. Before that, at Rock The Guac in Cape Canaveral, I worked during peak tourist season, serving 200+ international customers per day, which pushed me to be quick, professional, and adaptable-- especially when helping non-English speakers. Alongside my work experience, I’ve taken on leadership responsibilities that required coordination and follow-through. As a founding member and Brotherhood Chair for Kappa Alpha Pi, I organized professional development events each semester and advised members on law school and career preparation, which involved scheduling, communicating with groups, and making sure plans actually happened. I also volunteered with Ohio University’s Program of Intensive English, where I supported 50+ international students during move-in by helping with housing logistics, campus navigation, and the transition to a new environment.
Education
I earned my B.S. from Ohio University in December 2025 with a major in Environmental Geography (Pre-Law) and a minor in Political Science (GPA 3.3), and I was recognized on the Dean’s List and President’s List numerous times throughout my academic career. My capstone project, “Green Space for Whom?”, focused on the Scioto Greenways and the relocation of unhoused communities in Columbus. I interviewed stakeholders, including city planners and nonprofit leaders, reviewed planning documents and enforcement strategies for equity gaps, and presented my findings to an audience of 50+ at a capstone showcase.
