Erin Nelson

I have been in the restaurant industry for ten years. During that time, I have occupied and excelled at every position in the front of the house. I have a deep appreciation for the restaurant industry and a passion for working with people. In addition, I am completing my master's in clinical psychology to become a mental health therapist. I am looking for a job that I will enjoy and thrive in. 

Bartender and server Lahontan Golf Club | Truckee, CA March 2024 – Sept. 2024 Bartended and provided service to the private members and their guests. Learned and created high-quality cocktails while providing attentive service. Helped set up and work a casual cocktail and bites area. My job capacity required me to have an in-depth knowledge of wine, beer, liquor, and high-end cuisine.

Bar and Restaurant Manager CB’s Bistro | Carnelian Bay, CA May 2023 – Feb. 2024 I assisted the new owners in the opening and running of CB’s Bistro. My responsibilities included selecting and ordering the beer and wine. I managed other employees while serving tables and taking care of customers. I was responsible for social media, menu design, and interior decoration. As a manager, I was responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving any issues in the front of the house.

Bartender and various other positions Gar Woods Grill & Pier | Carnelian Bay, Ca June 2015 – Sept. 2021 Began as a hostess at the age of 18. Through the years, I was promoted to the expo, then cocktail server, and finally, as a bartender. In these years, I learned customer service, multi-tasking, and the value of hard work. I was able to learn and exceed the many skills associated with almost all positions available for the front of the house in a restaurant.

Bartender Za’s Lakefront | Tahoe City, CA Dec. 2021 – June 2023 I successfully joined a new team and provided excellent customer service to all kinds of customers. I created a variety of delicious and unique cocktails at fast speeds while simultaneously creating an enjoyable experience for the customer. I bartended a large number of private parties and banquets. I assisted in the opening and running of an outdoor bar.
