Naval Information Warfare Center (San Diego, CA)
- Designed the mechanical system onboard a vessel for the subsea launch and recover of the VideoRay Defender ROV.
- Led the development of a Tether Management System (TMS) through Okeanus, an ocean engineering company.
- Developed various tools and skids for the Defender ROV, all tools and skids were forward deployed to the warfighter.
- Received an “On the Spot Award” in recognition of exceptional innovation, technical expertise, and dedication to advancing the Dry Combat Submersible program.
BlueDot Mechanical Engineer, January 2022 – Present
Naval Information Warfare Center (San Diego, CA)
- Designed a new bale system for the Slocum Glider, ensuring compatibility across all variants. Requirements were to have the lightest design possible <150 grams while being able to support a 600 lb. load. A patent is pending for the invention disclosure titled “Multi-Fit Lightweight Lift Bale for the SLOCUM Glider” NC 212154.
- Designed a cart and cradle system for the new Sentinel Glider. Developed a cradle design that holds the vehicle and allows separation of sections while maintaining alignment. The cradle can then be transferred to the cart which can be pushed by hand or towed behind a vehicle.
- Developed various tools and supporting equipment to support lab and glider work.
ENS Machining, August 2021 – Present
Self-Owned Company (San Diego, CA)
- Opened a small business, CNC milling machine shop
- Responsible for machine shop organization and operation
- Worked closely with customers, managing expectations and delivering finished parts on time.
- Created all CAM tool path programming and tool setups through Autodesk Fusion 360
- Setup the CNC machine, tool & part offsets, and CAM programing.
- Conduct part inspections and create documents depending on the customer needs.
LSS / ODDS Mechanical Engineer, January 2020 – January 2022
Naval Information Warfare Center (San Diego, CA)
- Worked on the mechanical design and drawing documentation of tools, fixtures, and pressure vessels.
- Performed and reviewed part inspections using engineering tools. Wrote and reviewed various testing and engineering documents.
- Worked within our team to forward deploy our systems on schedule, under tight timeline constraints and late vendor deliveries. CNC machined various components to support the team and kept the project moving forward.
MK-18 Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) Mechanical and Test Engineer, September 2015 – December 2019
Naval Information Warfare Center (San Diego, CA)
- Guided the test and evaluation effort for a UUV synthetic sonar sensor. Managed a test team and conducted weekly UUV missions to collect and analyze data. Developed, authored, and edited test documentation and reports.
- Managed the project’s Atlassian Database, greatly improving team collaboration and workflow.
- Provided engineering support in the design and fabrication of mechanical systems to support test assets.
- Lab manager for the MK-18 UUV classified SIPR laboratory.
SM-3 Blk IIA Project Test Officer, September 2012 – August 2015

- Recipient of the “AEGIS BALLISTIC MISSILE DEFENSE EXCELLENCE AWARD” endorsed by Rear Admiral R. M. Hendrickson.
- Managed a team as the Test Officer for the SM-3 Blk IIA Cooperative Development (SCD) Project integrating the SM-3 Blk IIA Missile and launching system.
- Led range integration efforts as the SCD Test Officer, verifying range radars, telemetry antennas, telemetry processing stations, and various supporting equipment.
SM-6 and ESSM Test Director, August 2011 – August 2015
Naval Surface Warfare Center (Port Hueneme, CA)
- Recipient of numerous “On-The-Spot Awards" for test execution and project leadership.
- Directed the execution of multiple Waterfront Integration Testing (WIT) Events as the Test Director for USS Chancellorsville (CG-62) and USS John Paul Jones (DDG-53).
- WIT execution involved the development of the test plan and test procedures, large scale logistics management of various test equipment, test execution, and data analysis.
