Duties as a Medical Records Technician and Contact Representative for the Integrated Disability
Evaluation System:
-Effectively employed professional, concise and clear communication with clients, internal and external
program team members, Veteran’s Association liaisons, extensive clinical and administrative hospital
personnel, and other entities to establish streamlined service for clients within the program.
-While abiding by mandated regulations, aided hundreds of patient cases to be processed by clarifying
requirements needed per client to initiate processing.
-Directed clients in obtaining supporting documentation, resources, and information.
-Under HIPAA and work outlined direction processed patient records.
-Collaborated with team and providers while using the LIMDU SMRT database and documentation
system to build client cases.
-Delegated case assignment to IDES Liaisons weekly to connect clients to their next point of contact.
-Maintaining an average of over 100 active cases at a time.
-Answer routine questions and share information pertaining to follow up consultations and other
services for both the members and the staff.
-Utilize medical record and medical board automated systems to include electronic health record
systems, MHS Genesis and Joint Longitudinal Viewer (JLV), and Limited Duty Sailor and Marine
Readiness Tracker System (LIMDU SMART) in order to enter data, review, and release records.
-Provide Customer Support Services as required to all patients checking in to the IDES division, building
strong rapport with patients as their first step and go-to contact throughout the entire medical board
process.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs to include Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, and
PowerPoint as well as all office related equipment to include, but not limited to, phone, fax machines,
printers, copy and scanning machines.
