About Emily Shedrick:

I live in a small town called Watertown, NY, which I love so much. I have a wonderful family/church family who I love so dearly and am beyond blessed by. Currently, I am working as a teacher’s aide at a preschool. Growing up, I always had a passion for animals and children. In high school, I took a two-year BOCES program in Vet tech. I loved that experience and would love to pursue a career with animals, hopefully soon. I currently volunteer at my church in the children's ministry and have been for 5 years now. Furthermore, I am a youth leader, a nursery worker, and a Sunday school teacher.  Watching the Children’s eyes fill with so much wonder every time they learn something new is such a blessing. I have a passion for both children and animals, so why not pursue a dream in both? Furthermore, I will continue to volunteer in the children’s ministry at my church, and I am currently working on getting my certificate as a veterinarian assistant. I have loved life, and I am excited to see where God leads me as a step into some new chapters.

I work as the cashier and help people with their orders. I run orders to customers ' cars. I check orders to make sure everything is correct.  I help with the dining room and I make sure that it is clean, and everyone dining or who needs help  is attended too.

I worked at Bright Beginning as a summer job. I helped change diapers, prepared lunch/snack time, Played with the children and also helped the students expand their learning. I loved this job! I also took a 5hr course to learn about health and safety before working with the children.

I was rehired at bright beginnings in January of 2023 and I am currently working there. My job as a teacher's aide is more than helping kids learn their ABCs and numbers,  we are helping/ better prepare our children to make the world a better place.

I have always had a passion for children and animals. I took  5 months of Early Childhood and then realized that Early Childhood may not be the path I wanted to take, so I switched my career goal to Office Technology to become an Admin at a Veterinarian's Office. I later realized that JCC had an online certificate program for veterinarian assistants.  I switched over to that course and am currently working on getting that certificate. I have been volunteering at my church for about 7 years now and have been working in the children's ministry for 5. I am a youth leader, a nursery worker, and a Sunday school teacher. I love watching the children's knowledge of Christ grow and their eyes fill with wonder as their relationship with Christ expands. I have a passion for both children and animals so why not pursue a dream in both. I will continue to work in the children’s ministry at my church and then hopefully get my certificate In veterinary assistant soon so I can work at a veterinary clinic/hospital.
