I am a junior at St. John's University in Queens, New York studying history and legal studies. I am a Phi Alpha Theta candidate as of Spring 2021. I have worked in many different types of fields but my passion is working with people in hospitality and front-facing positions.

At Otterkill Country Club, my job was to maintain the bar, make drinks for full service and bar-tops and provide a pleasant experience for patrons. I communicated effectively with customers and other coworkers as well as back-of-house employees in the kitchen. This job has given me crucial management skills with customers and other coworkers.

Delancey’s Bar & Restaurant, Goshen, NY. — Hostess

As a hostess, I greet customers on a day-to-day basis and provide a friendly face for the restaurant. As well as seating customers, answering phones, taking to-go orders and making sure the restaurant’s capacity is adhering to COVID-19 restrictions are all part of my job.

Sherwood Forest Apartment Complex, Scotchtown, NY. — Head Lifeguard/Pool Manager

The head lifeguard at the public pool facility of Sherwood Forest is in charge of shift management, pool/chemical maintenance and providing aid during an emergency. Most tenants are families with children and being personable but also authoritative is a necessity for my job.

As a photographer’s assistant, I mostly worked weddings and other formal events. This job not only allowed me to familiarize myself with the practice of photography, but also to develop communication and event planning skills.
