Internship | Veterinary Assistant | Park Ridge Animal Hospital, IL.                                                   September 2020 – On Going   

• Use proper restraint techniques and reinforcement strategies to assist with vaccinations, blood work, and animal welfare
   
• Implement organization and time management skills to complete necessary documentation
   
• Use interpersonal skills when communicating with supervisors, coworkers, and clients

• Assisting with vital signs and checking the blood of the patients with diabetics
   
• When taking care of patients by checking on them frequently, I would feed and change those who weren’t able to help themselves, prepare them for discharge by packing up their belongings and assist in any way needed. While completing these tasks I would use social skills to build relationships with the patients to make sure they feel comfortable
   
• Regularly made rounds in the hallway to ensure the essentials were stocked; gloves, gowns, ect. 
   
• Assist the physical therapists when working with patients for exercises
