Emily Magill

I have been in the mortgage industry since I was 16 years old. I was in college, finishing high school and working nights setting up loan files or prepping applications for LO's.  When I became an “adult”, I became a official Loan Officer when I was setting out to ultimately be a Psychologist. I waited tables to make ends meet, while I learned all I could about being a great Loan Officer, which was one of the most fun experiences of my life!  I really love waiting tables and learning this business.  In 2003 I was given my first opportunity to lead a team.  It was then that I felt my path was well paved in the lending industry. I love empowering or assisting LO's. And I still have a passionate enjoyment for working with clients, as they navigate financing options that fit their objectives. Empowering others is my greatest joy!

Beyond my enthusiasm for mortgage lending, I do some freelance writing and I run a supper club for local dinner parties, tastings or Mixology courses. I love to share thoughts that can heal or offer insight to others, through writing.  And I enjoy creating new recipes then bringing people together to share them. It is my core character to want to create culture and community in all I do.  

Lending Manager for the better part of the last 20 years, with five years of LO or LOA experience prior to that. I have done everything from bond to some commercial finance. I have always stayed much more in the residential lending world. I have closed many FHA, VA, Conventional, Bond, Rural and some non-QM loans.

Some college. I did not finish my program in Behavioral Science, as this industry was where I felt called to. I do not see residential lending a just employment. I see it as a community calling. In some of the studies we did in college, I felt I may be too soft hearted to be a successful Psychologist. I think the therapist in me is channeled in Leadership and assisting consumers in making the decisions that best suit them.
