Emily Hall is a holistic educator, curriculum designer, and program specialist with over 10 years of experience teaching in the United States, Nepal, and working on projects in Cambodia, Malawi, Tanzania, and Peru. With a strong focus on restorative justice, Emily has dedicated much of her career to designing life skills programs and providing 1:1 coaching for youth in Southeast Washington, D.C. She combines trauma-informed practices, creative expression, and mindfulness to create transformative learning experiences. As a certified yoga and mindfulness teacher, Emily brings a unique perspective to education, helping students build resilience, emotional awareness, and personal growth. Her expertise in curriculum design, monitoring and evaluation, and custom workshops ensures that her programs meet the diverse needs of students, empowering them to thrive academically and personally.
Experience
With over 10 years of combined experience in nonprofit management, program design, and teaching, Emily Hall is a versatile educator and program leader. A Fulbright Scholar alumna, Emily taught and trained teachers in Nepal, and has since worked on global teacher exchanges for over 6 years. She has a background as a former Waldorf first grade teacher, freelance musician, and music therapist, bringing a creative and holistic approach to her work. Emily’s nonprofit experience includes 1 year as Development Manager for Advancing Girls’ Education in Africa and 3 years as Program Manager and Life Skills Specialist at Access Youth, where she designed programs focused on restorative justice, truancy prevention, and youth empowerment. Additionally, Emily is a certified yoga, mindfulness, and SEL instructor, integrating these practices into her work with children and youth to foster emotional well-being and resilience.
Education
Emily Hall holds a BA in Human Development with Certification in Elementary Education from Washington College, and an MA in International Education from George Washington University. She also completed a 200-hour certification in Yoga, Mindfulness, and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL).
