I am a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse with a strong foundation in patient-centered care. I graduated as an LPN from Suffolk County Community College (SCCC) in 2022, continued my education through SCCC's LPN-to-RN program, graduating in 2024, and I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Stony Brook University.

My professional journey began in homecare, where I worked as a full-time pediatric LPN from 2022 to 2024. I continue to provide pediatric care on a per diem basis—a role I maintain because of my deep commitment to supporting patients and their families in the comfort of their homes. Currently, I work as a Medical-Surgical Nurse at Stony Brook Hospital. My unit not only specializes in medical-surgical care but also provides psychiatric support, frequently caring for behavioral health patients receiving medical treatment. This dual focus has allowed me to develop a well-rounded skill set in managing complex medical conditions while providing compassionate and effective care to patients with diverse needs.

I am passionate about continuous learning and improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practice. My goal is to grow as a healthcare professional while making a positive impact on the lives of those I care for.

Responsible for providing care to patients who require continuous cardiac monitoring while recovering from surgery, illness, or other medical conditions.

•  Assess vital signs, oxygen saturation, and overall patient condition regularly
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient status promptly
• Monitor patients using telemetry monitors for cardiac rhythm abnormalities
• Administer prescribed medications, including IV medications, drips, and pain management drugs
• Administer TPN, g-tube feeds, blood, and blood products.
• Provide wound care, including dressing changes and infection prevention
• Provide trach care, including suctioning and dressing changes
• Provide g-tube care including checking for residual, venting, and dressing changes
• Provide chest-tube care including monitoring of drainage, proper functioning, and dressing changes
• IV insertion and monitoring, central line dressing changes and monitoring, and blood draws
• Deescalate patients showing anger or aggression
• Help redirect patients with anxiety via calming techniques and active listening
