Emily Carroll

I am originally from Cincinnati, OH. I went to school for Entertainment Design and commercial art. I have been in Pittsburgh for about 14 years. I love being outside doing anything athletic, ie. Hiking, gardening, foraging, snowboarding. I am also a drummer and passionate about music.

I have 10.5 years of experience in industrial/product design.  I have done everything from concept sketching, virtual concept rendering, sculpted maquettes, CAD design and technical drawings (drafting) via Solidworks, prototype fabrication as well as 3d printing and maintenance on FDM and SLA printers. I have a passion for bringing ideas to life. I work well with others, am organized and structured and learn very quickly. 

I went to school at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for Entertainment Design. It was a hybrid of special effects and industrial design. I took classes everywhere from mold-making and prosthetics to drafting and Solidworks. I also received education in fabrication, CNC, CGI (Zbrush software), storyboarding, audio, photography, etc. It gave me a broad skillset that I like to think sets me apart.
