At the mall at Fairfield Commons my main duties are to secure the property, working close with the client. I sign in and out contractors, patrol the grounds interior and exterior, provide protection to customers and tenants within policy of course. I provide assistance for customers. Examples including giving directions, assisting with wheelchairs and anything else that is needed. I have been trained with first aid, CPR, AED, defensive tactics, hand cuffing, usage of a tourniquet and more online training Allied provides. I will assist medical calls from slip and falls, to seizures, personal illness, mental illness, and personal injuries. For criminal activity we work very close with our local police department. I have broken up domestic disputes, shop liftings, drug overdoses, violence involving weapons, but i have never allowed it to escalate towards physical contact. I have a way of de-escalating situations. I work closely with excel and word. I use a computer everyday for logging in and out our daily reports each day. When sitting at the command center i monitor cameras throughout the facility. I answer calls from guest services to police and fire dispatch. Report writing are very crucial at Allied Universal and is taken very seriously. I am very familiar with writing reports. My security director constantly runs random drills for all officers to keep us sharp. Drills from medical calls to defense tactics. We are very well put together at our site and i am honored to have a director who cares for a safety and is willing to teach us the skills we need to perform our duties.
