Dylan Amico

Current assistant softball coach for John Jay College in Manhattan, NY. My responsibilities include infield/catching coach, hitting and first base coach. I have worked at John Jay since fall 2019, with this past 2023 season being my 2nd season competing due to Covid 19. Over the course of these years I have helped JJC softball succeed in many aspects, posting our best record in school history this past season and our 2nd CUNY championship in 23 years. JJC softball led the nation in batting average this 2023 season and continued to dominate on every stat board throughout division 3 softball. I have recruiting skills as well as travel ball coaching experience. I have spent my summers coaching 18u college showcase teams primarily with Akedema Elite Organization. 
My absolute passion is coaching girls not only on but off the field. I aspire to be the best I can be developing these players already at such a high skill level.  I am prepared to grow each and everyday as this game changes with time. 

Currently working at John Jay College under Athletic Director Catherine Alves. I have been at JJC since the fall of 2019, as well as an intern year in 2018. My first college experience job was at William Paterson working with coach Hallie Cohen as the Pioneers team manager from 2015-2019. There is where I learned all the background and behind the scenes aspects Of being a college coach. 

Academic degrees include a BA in Sports Management with a minor in Business Administration from William Paterson University, Wayne, NJ.
