I have been a family service worker for over 10 years. I currently obtained my CBCS and am looking for an entry level medical billing and coding position. I have experience in electronic file management, data entry, social services, payroll, health management, and customer service. I am open to other employment positions as I am looking for a change in careers.
Experience
- Establish and maintain ongoing positive relationships with clients and community organizations. Interview potential clients for service eligibility. Conduct home visits and contact clients as needed or required by the agency. Assess each client's need for social services, develop a plan that responds to the needs, deliver or coordinate the delivery of needed services for each client. Develop individualized agreements that describe clients goals, strengths, and responsibilities with time tables and strategies for achieving goals. Encourage, monitor, and record the timely delivery of medical, dental, mental health services to clients. Maintain electronic files. Review medical and dental information with the Health Service Manager on a regular basis. Collect medical data and accurately enter into program software in a timely manner. Provide comprehensive community resource information to clients. Identify crisis situations and make referrals as needed. Schedule meetings with clients and managers.
- Supervise center staff members; act as a resource to staff members, offering training, feedback, and support; promote a center team approach. Oversee program ensuring that all screenings, assessments, home visits, and conferences are completed in a timely manner. Interview potential employees. Assure that records required by the state are properly maintained. Supervise general condition and upkeep of the building and grounds; schedule routine maintenance. Ensure proper staffing patterns are maintained to ensure the facility runs adequately. Monitor the inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment. Assure accurate, complete, and confidential maintenance of employee and client records. Assure that all center-level documentation and reports are complete, up-to-date, and accurate for annual reviews. Conducts staff performance evaluations and professional development plans. Monitor and submit payroll for center employees.
- Works with frequent interruptions and minimum supervision. Maintains clean background checks and drug screenings. Current Adult/Child/Infant CPR-First Aid- AED card.
