My teaching experiences in higher education over the past 20 years has afforded me the opportunities to develop and direct graduate programs, teach, advise, and mentor university candidates seeking masters and doctoral degrees and certifications in various fields of education for positions which include principals; superintendents; counselors; teachers; and educational diagnosticians.
I am occasionally employed in the position of educational consultant for school districts, community colleges, and universities in the Houston area and other areas in Texas. My areas of expertise include but are not limited to development of cultural proficiency which includes diversity and inclusion skills for employees and leaders; qualitative methodology; creating effective educational and organizational leaders; strategies for teaching and learning (pre-K- year 24); diagnostic educational testing (including issues in special education); organizational continuous improvement; and team building.
Education
I have obtained a doctoral degree in the field of educational leadership from Texas A&M University. This degree prepared me to coach educators in PK-12 schools as well as prepare educational leaders in graduate programs at the university level.
