EXPERIENCEIMS Nanofabrication, Hillsboro, OR — Field Service EngineerJanuary 2023 – July 2024We had many daily tasks and responsibilities as FSE’s. We performed daily maintenance tasks on the tools. Both inside and outside the clean room. We performed repair tasks as requested by the Intel and IMS engineers. We were on a rotating on-call schedule where we would have to come in to recover from tool errors on nights and weekends. We used Linux and Windows combined to maintain and control the tools. We gained experience with repairing high tech systems and keeping the tools clean of particles that can ruin the mask writing process. We created tickets for all our work using Jira. We worked together with our Austrian coworkers and Japanese partner companies to accomplish tasks.Mindtree, Intel Jones Farm — Contracted TechnicianJanuary 2020 - PRESENTSupport for the engineers in the lab. Maintaining lab systems and equipment. Keeping an eye on incoming HSD tickets and acknowledging them promptly. Training and onboarding new technicians. Keeping silicone secure and organized. Organizing lab tools and other testing materials. Pass down important tasks to the team. Updating remote access systems for engineers working remotely during the pandemic. Keeping lab areas clean. Troubleshoot thermals and thermal control units and software. Complete execution tests on platforms using Oscilloscopes and other equipment.UST Global, Intel Jones Farm — Contracted TechnicianMay 2019 - January 2020Technical support for all our systems. Building, programming FW and wiring new systems. Learning new technology and troubleshooting techniques. Using the JIRA ticket tracking system to monitor incoming tickets and service requests from engineers. Cable Management. Swapping out parts on systems and keeping down time as small as possible. Communicate progress on different projects to other members of the team.EDUCATIONOregon State University, Corvallis, OR — Electrical EngineeringFall 2008 - Spring 2015Courses: Calculus(5 terms), Physics(4 Terms), Mathematics(8 terms), Writing, Public speaking, Electrical Engineering(Every term), Computer Science (4 Terms) Senior Project(Tied for People’s Choice Award) PROJECTSIntel Fab Work – Multiple products I have experience in 2 different areas of the Intel production Fab. For Mindtree I worked in post-production silicon testing. I repaired and maintained the HDMT testers that are used in the post production testing and validation process. At the fab they also use these testers to debug errors and determine where they need to image the silicon using thermal imaging and hotspot technology. For IMS Nanofabrication I worked in the Pre-Production part of the silicon process. We maintained and repaired the mask writers used to make masks that are then used to expose each layer of the silicon. We learned clean room operations, safety and how to make repairs in a clean and timely fashion. Intel 12 Generation Client —Tiger LakeI began my IVE journey in the middle of the TGL power-on. I was pushed hard to learn fast how these systems needed to be maintained and what to watch for when testing newly emerging chips. Especially because I was alone many days during the early stages of the Covid outbreak. I had to get used to the idea that many tests will fail and that is just par for the course. As the power-on progressed I increased my knowledge and understanding of the platform and its issues. Now that we are moving on to Meteor Lake I feel accomplished. Intel 3rd Gen Xeon Server — Wilson/ Cooper city I started at Intel working for the UST global group validating server RAM dimms. I was working in the Lab which was a new challenge for me because it was hot and very noisy. I had to learn how to operate while wearing noise canceling headphones and communicate information clearly to team members. I learned how to flash and maintain server architecture and keep the engineers happy. Senior Project — POV display My lab partners and I built a full color spinning POV display for our senior lab project. It was a full year long process that started with planning and documentation and theoretical testing. Then we moved on to the construction phase. This was challenging because it was my first major group project that lasted more than one quarter of classes. We overcame many issues with getting power to the spinning system and keeping everything together while it was spinning at over 500 RPM. We got it working just in time and in the end we ended up tied for Peoples Choice Award. | SKILLS
