Since graduating in 2022, I have worked in schools, a pediatric outpatient and a SNF. I started in this field to assist children and adults in advocating for themselves and helping family members to learn the best ways to communicate with their loved ones.

Rollingbrook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center; October 2024- Present
- Screen all residents within facility for admissions, quarterly and annual reports to complete MDS sections C and K.
- Evaluate and treat for diagnoses such as aphasia, dysarthria, cognitive-communicative deficit, and dysphagia, as well as co-treat with PT and OT.
- Completed evaluations, daily logs, progress reports, recertifications and discharge reports using platforms NetHealth and PointClickCare.

• Served as an SLP in both skilled nursing facilities and post-acute/sub-acute settings to evaluate and treat a variety of diagnoses.

• Attend IDT meetings and collaborate with patients, caregivers/family members, PT’s, OT’s, nursing staff, dietary and social services to assure patients are receiving the highest standard of care holistically.

• Administer evaluations in the areas of speech, expressive language, receptive language, pragmatic language and fluency.
• Create individualized SMART goals dependent on the performance of student’s during therapy and from their Full and Individualized Evaluation (FIE).
• Lead Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for students who meet the districts criteria of a student with a speech impairment to discuss their progress, new goals and programming and answer parent’s questions.
