Since graduating in 2022, I have worked in schools, a pediatric outpatient and a SNF. I started in this field to assist children and adults in advocating for themselves and helping family members to learn the best ways to communicate with their loved ones. 

Rollingbrook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center; October 2024- Present

• Screen all residents within facility for admissions, quarterly and annual reports to complete MDS sections C and K. 
• Evaluate and treat for diagnoses such as aphasia, dysarthria, cognitive-communicative deficit, and dysphagia, as well as co-treat with PT and OT. 
• Completed evaluations, daily logs, progress reports, recertifications and discharge reports using platforms NetHealth and PointClickCare.

Interface Rehab (via AMN Healthcare); January-July 2024
Facilities: Burbank Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, New Vista Post-Acute, Ararat Gardens Post- Acute, Alameda Care Center

• Served as an SLP in both skilled nursing facilities and post-acute/sub-acute settings to evaluate and treat a variety of diagnoses.

• Evaluate for diagnoses such as aphasia, dysarthria, cognitive-communicative deficit, and dysphagia.

• Attend IDT meetings and collaborate with patients, caregivers/family members, PT’s, OT’s, nursing staff, dietary and social services to assure patients are receiving the highest standard of care holistically.

Killeen Independent School District (via AMN Healthcare); October-December 2023
• Administer evaluations in the areas of speech, expressive language, receptive language, pragmatic language and fluency.

• Create individualized SMART goals dependent on the performance of student’s during therapy and from their Full and Individualized Evaluation (FIE).
• Lead Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for students who meet the districts criteria of a student with a speech impairment to discuss their progress, new goals and programming and answer parent’s questions. 

Special Needs Network Inc., Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities; October- December 2023

• Plan and lead sessions for individual sessions to target receptive, expressive and pragmatic language goals through child based play, role playing, and structured activities.

• Implement speech/language and update goals based on child performance within therapy sessions.

• Complete daily session notes, progress reports and re-evaluations in accordance with their speech authorization schedules.

Houston Independent School District (via AMN Healthcare); August 2022- June 2023

• Develop, plan, lead, and complete session notes for individual and group sessions to target speech and language skills for students in general education and self-contained classes using research methodologies and their respective classwork.

• Work with students with diagnoses of Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and articulation and language disorders.

• Administer evaluations in the areas of speech, expressive language, receptive language, pragmatic language and fluency.
• Create IEP goals based on progress and evaluation results to report at Annual, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings.
