Experience
Over the years, I have had several professional experiences in the filed of education. I have a strong foundation in STEM education. I have served as a member of MATH IMPACT where I've written curriculum for the NC Department of Instruction. I am also a proud member of The Charlotte Teacher Institute where I conducted research and wrote a nationally published cross curricular unit on epigenetics.
My greatest passion is educational reform and I have served as Madame Chair for the School Leadership Team and a member of the Instructional Leadership Team. In addition, I have coached and led professional development for new teachers within the Charlotte Mecklenburg School district. Through my guidance, many teachers have utilized educational best practices that have increased student growth.
Lastly, I have interned at various secondary schools as a Principal Intern, expanding my knowledge in Educational Leadership along with Curriculum and Instruction.
Education
I recently graduated from the prestigious Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC as an honorable member of Kappa Delta Pi and Gamma Beta Phi Society. Graduating with a 4.0 GPA I have obtained my masters in Educational Leadership and license in School Administration. I aspire to lead teachers as an academic facilitator and/or new teacher support coach full time.
