David Strauss

I'm a multidisciplinary designer with over 15 years of experience in industrial design, furniture development, and creative direction. Currently serving as Director of Design & Marketing at a NYC furniture manufacturer, I lead custom product development from concept through production, integrating design strategy with technical execution across CAD, 3D printing, and traditional manufacturing workflows.

My career spans both design and operations — from managing product pipelines at Poppin to crafting bespoke pieces at Lorin Marsh to scaling custom solutions for interior designers and architects at Artistic Frame. I’ve collaborated with artists, manufacturers, and institutions including Josh Owen LLC, the University of Pennsylvania, and the Corning Museum of Glass, where I was awarded the RIT GlassLab Fellowship.

I have an MFA in Industrial Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a BFA in Graphic Design from SUNY Purchase College.
