I taught high school band in California for over thirty years. This included jazz, wind ensemble, concert, marching ( field and parade), winter activities, theory, and choir. In addition, I am a professional low brass player and instructor. I supervised a staff , as well. I served for several years as head judge for the Northern California Band Association. This included Jazz, Concert, Street and Field.

Experience

I have conducted my groups at festivals and completions, organized all aspects of trave for groups up to 300.  Directed the orchestra for various musicals and musicians. I have performed as principal trombone in the Maui, Hawaii, Merced, Imperial , and Reedley Symphonies. I've played in various jazz groups and fronted my own group for 30 years.  I was the Music Director for the Maui Performing Arts Association.

Education

I have a BA in Music Ed and Performance from Fresno State and intensive graduate work at Southern Oregon. Studied conduction with Fred Fennel, John Bankhead, Fran Erickson, Larry Sutherland.
