Curt Long

My name, Curt Long, has an interesting interpreted meaning! Curt, from the third meaning in the dictionary, means “short; shortened ” [Origin: 1620–30; < L curtus shortened, short, cut short] and Long, from the seventeenth meaning in the dictionary, means “being higher or taller than usual” [Origin: bef. 900; ME longen, OE langian grow longer, yearn after, summon].

I took the third (3) and seventeenth (17) meanings from my birthday on March 17th, or Saint Patrick’s Day. When you put them together it is my Gaelic, O’ Short Taller Than Usual or O’ShortTallernus.
