Chris Kern

My Name is Christopher (Chris) Kern. I am originally for the Northern Virginia/D.C. Metropolitan area. I lived there for 42 years until 2017 when my wife and I decided to move to Huntsville Alabama. My wife and I enjoy kayaking, and hiking on Monte Sano. We also love to travel. This past year we took our first trip overseas to the UK. We traveled on a bus tour from London to Bath, from Bath to Liverpool then inevitably to Edinburgh Scotland. We had a wonderful time and made a lot of amazing memories. We also traveled to Key West, Las Vegas as well as Orlando, Gettysburg Pennsylvania, Harpers Ferry West Virginia and inevitably, Virginia to visit with family.

Currently, I am a Construction manager for Heritage Communications in the Northern Alabama and Southern Tennessee areas. I have been in the telecommunications field for 21 year's starting as a service technician for Adelphia Cable/Comcast Cable. Inevitably, I moved into a construction roll with a focus on coaxial cable construction and then transitioned into Enterprise fiber construction in the D.C. metropolitan area focusing on the Northern Virginia market. That lead to a roll as a Construction Supervisor working with 17 construction coordinators from Delaware to just North of North Carolina until I moved to Harvest Alabama in 2017. In Alabama, I worked as a Construction Supervisor before transitioning to Aerial Construction Manager for the primary contractor of the Huntsville Utilities Google Fiber build. Upon Completion of the Huntsville Utilities Google Fiber build, Two years ago, I began working for Heritage Communications as a Construction Manager in Fayetteville Tennessee for the Fayetteville Public Utilities fiber construction project as well as in Covington/Andalusia for a brief period and also in Centerville Tennessee for the Meriweather Lewis (MLEC) fiber construction project.

I have a GED with little college. I have been in the Telecommunications field for 21 years. I have worked with Visio in the past but can learn very quickly. I am also willing to receive a certification out of pocket if necessary.
