Experience
1. Extensive Underwriting Experience = Attention to details
In my role as a Loan Quality Compliance Underwriter 3 at Fannie Mae through Convergenz, I audited files to mitigate risks for stakeholders. My experience spans various roles, including Correspondent Underwriter 2 at North Pointe Bank and FHA Retail Underwriter at Digital Risk, where I consistently ensured compliance with industry standards, attention to detail, and accurate data entry.
2. Proficiency in Risk Analysis = Analytical thinking
At Digital Risk, as a Wells Fargo Underwriter 2, I mitigated financial risks and losses for investors by finding solutions to cure loan defaults. This role, along with my positions at Wells Fargo and Saxon Mortgage, honed my ability to analyze credit and financial risks effectively.
3. Strong Training and Leadership Skills = Reliable and Dependable Employee
I have a proven track record of training and developing new hires. At Digital Risk, I trained onboarding underwriters; at Fannie Mae through Convergenz, I created Excel tools for the underwriting department; and at Saxon Mortgage, I served as a backup supervisor, showcasing my leadership and collaborative skills.
4. Audit and Analysis Expertise = Quality and Compliance
At North Pointe Bank, I audited 3rd party mortgage loans to sell to Fannie Mae, focusing on various income types, including self-employment and military income. At Digital Risk/Wells Fargo, I conducted file audits and quickly resolved customer legal disputes, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
5. Problem-Solving Abilities = Effective Data Communication and Decision-Making Skills
Earlier in my career, I successfully helped resolve complex issues with SAP implementation, working on an SAP Help Desk, and creating training materials for sales staff to learn the functionality of SAP ERP using the SD modules. I cross-used these skills later as a mediation underwriter in working on legal customer disputes before they turned in to court cases at Wells Fargo mitigating financial losses for Wells Fargo and at the same time coming up with solutions that satisfied the customer and their attorneys. At Convergenz /Fannie Mae, my strong communication and problem-solving skills have consistently led to positive outcomes for clients and stakeholders.
Education
I have a high school diploma but have gone to college with less than 18 credits to complete a BS degree from western Governors University in Business Management. I ran out of funds at the time and had suffered a job loss through a layoff, causing me to drop out of college. I plan to, complete the credits after successfully obtaining employment to gain my Bachelor of Science degree.
