Hello, I am a passionate mechanical engineering graduate ready to turn ideas into reality. The skills I have developed and the experiences I have had at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering put me in a position to do the things I have always dreamed of doing.

I was honored to contribute my skills at Mayo Clinic during an internship. I dove into the world of healthcare, working on a team to design a suturing device for post-surgery wound closure. It was a whirlwind of learning, collaborating with doctors, and making a real impact in the medical field.

Suture Pen Device

• Reduced the number of hand adjustments during a single stitch wound closure by 40% offering a physically and cognitively less demanding way to control a suture needle
• Led design and prototyping using CREO Parametric to create a 3D-assembly of the device
• Conducted market research to identify gaps in current technologies and ensure the design meets clinical needs
• Collaborated with relevant professionals (surgeons, engineers, and researchers) to refine the device
• Presented findings in detailed reports and technical presentations
• Utilized the medical device approval processes by working with regulatory specialists to ensure the device would eventually meet FDA and ISO regulations
