I am an experienced Insurance property and liability claims field Fraud Investigator.  Experienced Field SIU investigator proficient in underwriting/policy, claims adjusting, litigation and fraud company/industry fraud defenses.  Experienced Major Case Unit (MCU) investigator. Certified Fraud Claim Law Associate (FCLA), and Fraud Claim Law Specialist (FCLS), as well as a Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator (CIFI) designation. • October 2012- Present-   MAJOR CASE UNIT – SPECIAL INVESTIGATOR: Citizens Property Insurance Corp.

Currently the Senior Principal Field Investigator for the Major Case Unit. I Specialize in complex Fraud Ring Field Investigations throughout the State of Florida. Key responsibility is to investigate, validate, and confirm suspected red flags/fraud while also helping validate meritorious claims.  I review, identify, and investigate property claims which contain potential red flags and/or involve fraudulent insurance schemes and collaborative fraud rings. Investigations can range from a handful of claims to a large extensive range of historical and current claims. Field Investigations include but are not limited to in-person, video, or telephonic recorded statements, property loss inspection, receipt validations, neighborhood canvasses, coordinating Examination Under Oaths (EUO) and locating involved entities and parties of interest, and assisting and coordinating with law enforcement. I am responsible for investigating the MCU special projects which include but not limited to Large Loss claims, Agent/Underwriting issues, internal vendor complaints, contractor fraud/issues, etc. I maintain multiple active investigations with a healthy workload while managing an active field work investigative schedule.  I provide coherent, detailed investigative findings, create reports detailing any ongoing or finalized investigative efforts.  I work hand in hand with other internal units and staff as well as having established a strong relationship with law enforcement personnel throughout the State of Florida. I investigate a complex variety of first party property claims from burglaries, thefts, Liability/injury, to fires, weather/wind, non-weather water losses, and catastrophic events which can include extensive damages, complicated circumstances, multi-party involvement and representation.  I am part of the Catastrophe Response Team for Citizens and deploy in response to a catastrophic event.  I routinely work with our Litigation unit and partners including retained defense counsel to strategize and guide the claim and investigative findings to resolution. Investigative efforts can focus on a specific entity or involve multiple entities, companies, and parties of interest. I am the designated South Florida Fire loss, Sinkhole claims, and EXIF Metadata and social media Specialist.  I have conducted training and provided investigative presentations on multiple subjects for NICB, DFS (Florida Department of Financial Services), FIFEC, IASIU, and in-house company employees in SIU and other departments such as Appraisal/Mediation and Litigation units. Assisted the company in reviewing, adjusting, creating, and implementing updated and current Standard Operating Procedures for the different SIU units.

Specialized in investigating fraudulent property insurance claims, assisting to help identify, confirm, and/or rule out potential insurance fraud.   Worked hand in hand with Adjuster and Managers in the investigation of potential fraud as well as training company adjusters in identifying red flags and fraudulent activity.  Report all confirmed fraudulent activity to the Department of Insurance for the involved State as well as to the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB).  I took on multiple job duties and additional responsibilities on a voluntary basis including but not limited to Fraud Training, SIU Team newsletter, SIU unit investigative strategies and other company associated activities.
