Chantel Walters

For the past seven years, I have been very fortunate to work as a support staff specialist for Catholic Charities.  I mainly work in our Counseling program doing administrative work such as filing (both paper and electronically), submitting patient’s visits to insurance, collecting fees, setting up appointments, etc.  I also answer the phone and greet customers as they come into our office.  I direct them to where they need to go or who they need to speak with as I provide supports to our other programs at Catholic Charities as well. 

I’ve worked in a variety of different settings.  I worked at Hy-Vee for thirteen years bagging groceries, cashiering, working in the diner/kitchen area providing customer service.  From 2010-2013, I worked at Winona Christian Preschool and Daycare as a teacher’s aide providing support to the teachers and assisting the children with crafts, lunch, play time, naps, etc.  I worked for three years as a direct support staff and program assistant with Home and Community Options as I provided supports to vulnerable adults to help them live their daily lives as independently as possible.  And of course, currently, work as a support staff specialist at Catholic Charities.  I can also provide my resume.

I graduated from Plainview High School in 2003.  I went to RCTC in Rochester, MN to complete 2 years of general education.  From RCTC, I transferred to Winona State University and graduated in 2008 with a BS of Liberal Arts with an emphasis in vocal music.
