Cathy Lee

I have 30 years working as an Ophthalmic Technician and 5 years as a retail sales clerk.  I am a fast learner, able to work independently and with others, dependable, and hard working. My passions are dogs and plants. I have been a board member for my local dog park and spent a great deal of time on dog park improvements. I always have a garden and try to grow a lot of the food I eat. My special skill is my ability to get along with everyone. I try to be warm and welcoming in my job and volunteer roles and people (comment) and receive me as such. 

Worked as an ophthalmic technician / office manager for 30 years in a private practice in a small town. Responsible for all aspects of the practice from patient care, hiring, managing staff, maintaining office equipment, installation and training of new software over the years, accounts receivable, and ordering and managing inventory of office supplies. Responsible for the daily operation of the in house optical shop.  Duties included sales, tracking and dispensing of frames and lenses, repairs and adjustments of patient glasses, maintaining inventory.

Relocated to Kauai and found work in the retail sector. Worked part time at two shops in Hanalei. One was a gift shop that sold everything from food items to home decor with tourists being the primary shopper. The second shop was a clothing boutique with a large repeat customer base. Responsibilities were similar at each shop. Only one person worked the stores at a time. Duties included opening and closing, cash register sales, preparing the deposit at the end of each shift, pricing and restocking merchandise, assisting customers, and tidying up store.
