As a driven Associate Scientist with 7+ years of experience across discovery research and R&D, I specialize in analytical chemistry, mass spectrometry (LC-MS), and natural product profiling to support early-stage drug development. 

At Brightseed, I’ve led the development of high-throughput LC-MS assays, implemented automated workflows, and contributed to the identification of novel bioactive compounds. Biochemist with over seven years of academic and industry experience, specializing in small molecule characterization, assay development, and bioconjugate analysis to support drug discovery. She is currently an Associate Scientist in Discovery and R&D at Brightseed, where I lead formulation and biochemical evaluation of bioactive compounds derived from plant extracts. In this role, I have performed a wide range of assays—including ELISA, qPCR, MSD, and cytotoxicity—to investigate protein-small molecule interactions and assess compound bioactivity. I also played a key role in method optimization, SOP development, and implementation of lab automation and LIMS integration, leading to a 30% increase in sample throughput. My strong contributions and dedication have earned me two promotions within the company in 4 years of working.

Prior to my time at Brightseed, I worked as a Research Technician in the Jain Lab at UCSD Health Sciences. There, she independently managed and maintained high-end analytical instruments, including LC-MS/MS systems, and developed quantification methods for short-chain fatty acids in complex biological matrices such as patient plasma and tissues. She also trained lab members in analytical protocols and instrument maintenance, reflecting her strong collaborative and technical communication skills.

I achieved a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry, with a focus on chemistry, with a final GPA of 3.75.
