COPY EDITOR

Freelance Contractor | 2023 – Present

International Society for Maladaptive Daydreaming

Responsibilities: Copy edit and graphic design for Dreamweaver Narratives Magazine. Attend meetings discussing goals, design, content, and scheduling. Edit ISMD newsletters and website articles. Outcomes: We successfully published the inaugural issue of Dreamweaver Narratives, adding value to members’ paid subscriptions. Now, we are gathering what we learned and beginning the process for the second issue.

Group B Labs

Goal: Help build an inviting platform for a startup business. Outcomes: A company style guide; website and blog edited for target audience, brand consistency, and SEO; content feedback and proofreading for a grant application.

Dental Marketing Firm

Responsibilities: Ensured copy adhered to each client’s style and business goals; edited for tone, natural flow, SEO, grammar, punctuation, and more; managed content calendars and editorial email; wrote original content for blogs and landing pages.

 

SCENIC DESIGNER

Freelance Artist | 2012 – 2022

As a scenic designer, I collaborated with directors, designers, producers, and technical staff to bring high-quality productions to audiences. Through over 41 shows, I honed the skills needed to be a self-driven, detail-oriented collaborator with a professional reputation.
