With over 13 years of experience in public education, including my current role as a Leadership and Journalism Teacher at Belle Isle Enterprise Middle School (BIEMS), I am excited to expand my professional growth and reach. 

Throughout my career, I have successfully facilitated leadership-based instruction grounded in the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, helping my site school achieve Lighthouse School Certification. As our school’s Leader in Me Coordinator, I have worked directly with administrators, faculty, students, and families to embed leadership into every aspect of our culture. I am confident in my ability to facilitate leadership and instructional strategies, having guided professional development, student learning, and schoolwide initiatives that promote ownership, accountability, and equity.

In addition to my classroom leadership, I have mentored numerous new and student teachers. I view mentorship and teacher development as central to sustainable school improvement. My approach emphasizes consultation, customization, and collaboration. I am skilled in tailoring professional learning experiences to meet the distinct needs of educators and administrators.

I bring an advanced understanding of curriculum development, strong communication and presentation skills, and deep fluency in educational technology. I am meticulous in planning logistics and managing details while remaining flexible and responsive to dynamic educational settings.

Developed Leadership and Journalism programs with clear standards and a comprehensive curriculum, resulting in over 300 students participating yearly in record-breaking community service projects.

Developed and presented a detailed program concept and budget to church leadership, successfully hiring and managing 7 staff members, resulting in full enrollment for summer camp programs, weekly classes, and private lessons. Within 3 months, the program was fully self-sustaining, and within 6 months was making a profit.
