As an office manager, I handled direct interactions with customers on a variety of issues, maintained accurate and up-to-date client records in the company’s computer system, and managed the company’s financial records. My experience with these tasks enhanced my attention to detail and data accuracy.
My former experience as a lawyer has helped me to hone my critical thinking skills which allows me to quickly assess a situation, prioritize necessary tasks, and make informed decisions. Additionally, my organizational skills help me to manage multiple tasks, maintaining order and ensuring an efficient workplace.
Experience
I am a reformed lawyer. I practiced law in California specializing in insurance coverage and insurance defense litigation from 1990 to 2005 when I moved to Arizona with my family. In Arizona, I worked in house for insurance companies handling insurance claims and coverage issues. I took a few years off when my youngest daughter was in high school then moved to Bluffton, SC. After moving to Bluffton, I worked in customer service at Home Depot for six months before becoming the office manager at Belmont Insurance Services, a small, local, independent insurance agency.
