Minister Carmen Dyer was born in Xenia and raised in Wilberforce, Ohio. She is the oldest of four and daughter to Edward L. Tisdale and Atreva Vaughan (Clyde). She is also the mother of three children Dana Jr, Nia, and Jada Dyer. Carmen was baptized, and accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at Holy Trinity AME Church in Wilberforce, Ohio where she was a regular and in good standing active member there also serving as local YPD president, Sunday School teacher, and speaker for various programs as a youth and into adulthood.

She attended Xenia High School and went on to graduate from Wilberforce University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. She was the first Electrical Engineer to graduate from Wilberforce. After graduation she then went on to serve her country as a civilian Intelligence Analysis Engineer at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, within the National Air and Space Intelligence Center in Dayton, Ohio for the Space Systems team for 17 years.

Carmen served as the Ohio Conference YPD Director as well as, the Ohio South Ohio Conference YPD Director where she was instrumental in impacting young lives within missions and ministry. After her many quadrennials, Leadership Training Institutes, and Tawawa Educational Congress’ she later, she went on to accept her calling and gave her Initial Sermon on the 18th of February 2024 and is now Licensed to preach and serves as the Youth Minister at United AME in Xenia, Ohio under the tutelage and direction of her pastor Rev. Kevin Cooper.

Carmen is currently working towards a Master of Divinity Degree from Payne Theological Seminary and is dually enrolled in a Master of Divinity Degree program at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.

You can find Carmen somewhere working with young people which is part of her calling. She has worked with groups such as Girls Assembly as the Mother Advisor, Young People Division, Collegiate youth, Youth Leadership Institute (YLI) for her sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Wright STEPP tutoring, WiSTEM, and many other youth-oriented programs as she has a heart for giving back to the youth.  Lic. Carmen prays that God continues to order her steps, foster, and develop His gifts for her in pursuit of His Kingdom building.

· Exceptional leadership, engagement, research, and analytical skills for effective problem solving and organizational growth

· Networking in various capacities for a broad audience in support of customer mission and goals
